煙草と本

また何万年も経過した、
地球は依然として荒涼とした砂漠が続くのみであった、

そしてこのオブジェが作られ、１０万年が経過したその時であった、
石ころも何もかもが砂漠化し、海もなくなりただの砂の塊の楕円形である地球。
その真ん中に立つオブジェが異変を起こしたのだ。

ギギギと音をたてたオブジェ
その後、その中から、オルゴールが流れ始めた。

別れの曲である、オブジェは地球の今までの歴史に追悼を送った。

曲が終わると、彼は再びギギ、と動き、
何事もなかったかのように、何億光年もの無の世界を生きている。




砂漠と聞いて思いだせる曲の中でも、一番しっくりきたのがこのホテルカリフォルニアでした。

この短くいけれど、なにかしら心に残りそうな物語は、なんでだろう？ずっと昔に読んだのに、大体ほぼすべての内容をうる覚えながら覚えています。
これは博士にしか作った気持ちが分からないですよね、
きっと、すぐ核戦争で地球が破滅してしまう事を予想していたのだと思います。
それで真ん中にボタンのあるオブジェを作ったと。
大統領がおした、官邸の真ん中のボタンとかけたのでしょうか？
なにもしないボタンとなにもかもをしてしまうボタン。この対比はなんともわけのわからないものですね。
